Expressing resentment over the negative impact of the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Goods Carriers, Goods Transport Companies Association hoped that the deadlock between the government and traders will end soon.
To discuss the implications of GST in Kashmir, a meeting of Goods Transport Companies Association was held here in Srinagar which was presided by Muhammad Sidiq Ronga.
“Since GST will have no direct bearing, the Goods Transport, Goods Transport Companies Association will support the collective decision by the traders and government.”
An appeal was made to traders not to supply the goods to companies below par.
During the meeting, it was decided to defer the Association elections for three months till GST row is over.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Sadiq Ronga expressed anguish over the dilapidated roads in Transport Nagar and lamented that despite repeated assurances, government did nothing to mend the roads.
