Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Saiffudin Soz on Tuesday said that he has urged the Ministry of External Affairs to ensure repatriation of students from Jalalabad and elswhere in Kyrgyzstan to Kashmir, as early as possible.
“I also urged Govt. of India to take up the matter with the Civil Aviation Ministry in right earnest, as the schedule of flights has continued to remain tight,” he said, adding, “I further wrote to India’s Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan, Alok Amitabh Dimri to take urgent measures in this connection.”
Meanwhile, Soz said that he has kept the JK UT Administration informed with the request that it should also lend support to this proposition. “I have kept stranded Kashmiri students informed about the developments, through their group leader,” he added.
