Train services resumed on Thursday after remaining suspended on Wednesday for security reasons in the Kashmir valley in view of shutdown call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) to protest against civilian killings in government force action.
All trains will run as per schedule from Baramulla in north Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region as a fresh advisory was received from police last night to resume the services, a senior railway official said.
He said that the trains will chug on Srinagar-Budgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north. Trains will also run on Budgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal track.
