Ravinder Raina was re-elected Bharatiya Janata Party’s J&K President on Wednesday.
In a meeting held at the BJP headquarters in Jammu, Raina was re-elected in presence of the Observer for J&K BJP President’s Organisation elections, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan who was accompanied by BJP’s National Secretary Tarun Chug.
BJP is conducting India-wide organisational elections for the past three months and party’s senior leaders S Virinderjeet Singh and Manish Sharma had been entrusted to supervise these elections in J&K from the booth president to J&K president.
Raina thanked the party leadership and activists for having faith on him.
He said past year and eight months were full of challenges for him as the J&K president but he took it as God’s work and put his all efforts in completion of basic duties.
Addressing the party workers, Harsh Vardan complimented Raina and termed him as a powerful voice of BJP.
“The morale of the party workers has remained high under the leadership of Raina. He is a young patriot, full of aggression,” he said.
Harsh Vardan also extended greetings on behalf of the entire BJP leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Chug said BJP had always remained focused on its ideology and never deviated from its path of nation service.
He said the “sacrifice” of Shama Prasad Mukherjee on the soil of J&K still inspires BJP to dedicate self to the nation.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, former deputy CM Nirmal Singh and former Speaker Kavinder Gupta, BJP’s General Secretary Organisation Ashok Koul, former BJP J&K president Ashok Khajuria, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Sat Sharma, Abdul Gani Kohli, Chander Prakash Ganga, Sukhnandan Chaudhary, Sham Chaudhary, Bali Baghat, Ajay Nanda, Priya Sethi, Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Sunil Sharma, chief spokesman Sunil Sethi and Sham Lal Sharma were present on the occasion.
