A day long consultation workshop on Saffron Entrepreneurship was held at India International Kashmir Saffron Trade Centre, Dussu Pampore, here today.
The programme was jointly organized by Department of Agriculture Kashmir, Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development (JKEDI), Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) University of Kashmir and Saffron Research Centre.
The workshop was inaugurated by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Chowdhary Mohammad Iqba.
While speaking on the occasion, Chowdhary said that the main objective of organizing the workshop is to promote Kashmir Saffron at national and International level.
Discussing the details about the India International Saffron Trade Center, Chowdhary said that this is one of the best in Asian sub continent and the saffron growers will be provided cutting-edge technology for revival of the industry.
The workshop was attended by 30 educated youths from the Saffron growing area of Pampore. The participating youth were acquainted with the latest and hi-tech technology being employed for revival of the Kashmir Saffron Industry.
