The discipline and behavior of parents has a direct impact on the overall development of a child
The comprehensive and inclusive development of a person is half done if moral education or moral values are neglected. The social mindset and behaviorism depends largely on moral values. Moral values must become an integral part of our education system. An example of why the respect of teachers is depleting may be well attributed to lack of moral education. A teacher is seen as a pillar of a nation, equipped with the responsibility of transformation of an individual that leads him/her to light, a life where a person is beneficial for the society in an optimistic way. Teachers should train every child for his or her future responsibilities. As society around us is dishonest to a great extent so expecting too much just from institutions won’t solve the problem. So, the role of parents in education and teaching moral values to their children too plays an active role apart from schools and teachers. Students must be taught essence of respecting elders, forgiveness, discipline, honesty, teamwork, sportsmanship. Children most of the time look upon their parents as their role model.
The discipline and behavior of parents has a direct impact on the overall development of a child. How parents display themselves in front of their children would definitely butter up the personality and attitude of children. Retrogression and deterioration of a society is the direct effect of the absence of moral values in its constituting members. Slow death of moral values in any society is the major cause of unrest and dowdiness in a society. Fretfulness among youth is one of the major causes of crime in a society. Openness, easy access to unwanted, undesirable and morally ill elements, lack of self control, are becoming bad ingredients of our society. Youth must be directed and shown a right path, the path that is devoid of such ill components of our society and help in finding a way of always coming back towards light.
Education must focus on holistic development of a child because moral education helps in making of complete human being and just not a mere individual. Corruption in our society is a direct cause of lack of moral values. When our own vested interests overpower the societal good then such things do happen. As the moral values go on degradation, ultimately it may lead to a complete rack and ruin of a society. School management must not make educational system business oriented only. The more the business in education the more the lack of quality. Teachers should just not be reduced to respective subject teachers, but should work on moral education of a student so as to bring the desired change in the society as they mould the future. Hence, school education system must include moral and social values in their module of studies and together with parental support the society can well be looked after that can lead to development of a society on high grounds of moral values.
