Militants offer gun salute to Owais Bashir at Sopore

 Militants Tuesday evening appeared near the grave of an associate and offered gun salute at Brath Kalan Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Residents of Brath Kalan said that masked militants who were 4 in number appeared near grave of militant Owais Bashir Mir at around 8 in the evening on Tuesday and fired a volley of bullets in the air as a form of gun salute at Brath Kalan Sopore.
Eyewitness said that scores of youth poured on streets and shouted slogans in favor of Owais, freedom and Pakistan soon after the gun salute offered by militants.
Owaise Ahmed Mir, 24, son of Bashir Ahmad Mir of Brath Kalan in Sopore was killed in a road accident along with Lashkar commander Chota Dujana of Pakistan yesterday at Warpora Sopore.
Both militants died when the motorcycle they were riding skidded off the road near Warpora Sopore.
A top police official said that they received information about few gunshots in the village.
“There were few gunshots at around 8 in the evening. We are investigation the matter,” he said.
Meanwhile soon after militants offered gun salute to his associate, reportedly whole area has been sealed by security forces.
Owais was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Brath Sopore on Monday evening amid pro freedom and pro Pakistan slogans while as Lashkar Commander was buried secretly at Gauntmulla Baramulla Tuesday evening.
