Talking to Rising Kashmir, the students from Punjab based nursing college, said that they have been put under quarantine at Hera Nagar, Jammu.
More than 100 students are under quarantine in a single room, they alleged.
Syed Faraz Farooq, a student said that they are at quarantine at Hera Nagar Jammu but “most of us are in one room.”
“We are facing lot of issues due to improper water and food,” Farooq said adding that ‘they are being treated like cattle.’
Another student Shahid Ahmad said they appealed authorities to ensure a special bus service for Kashmir based students who are stuck in Jammu so that they can return to Valley.
“We are voluntarily willing to keep themselves in quarantine for safety of entire community but not here as there are no facilities here,” he said.
The students said that the concerned college was shut in view of Covid-19 scare and upon their return in Jammu, the authorities put them under quarantine.
“At the quarantine centre, there is not a single facility and nor are they are taking any precautionary measures,” they said.
The students appealed Lt. Governor led administration to facilitate their travel to Kashmir.
