Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Monday postponed the exams following requests from applicants who lamented that they won't be able to reach the venue or appear in the exams following the tense situation after Pulwama attack.
Chairman JKB on Monday tweeted “Lot of queries being received#JKBank exam. Though preparations are done, our partners in exam IBPS, TCS are here and visiting the test centers but keeping in view the inconvenience the applicants may have to face in the current circumstances, we are announcing the postponement of exams which were to be held on 21, 22,23 & 24 Feb. New dates will be notified in due course.”
After Thursday's attack, clashes erupted in Jammu region forcing the authorities to impose curfew for three consecutive days.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Kashmiri students and businessmen have alleged that they are being harrassed and even attacked by people outside the state. The reports have triggered protests in various parts of Kashmir with tense situation observed in the valley.
