Inter-college symposium held at Sopore

 The cultural and debate committee of Government Degree college for Women Sopore organized one-day inter college symposium entitled “Peace for Progress and Prosperity” on Tuesday.
Students from different colleges of North Kashmir participated in the symposium. Inaugural Speech was presented by Prof. Dr Iqbal Rehmani Head Department of Arabic.
Rifat Nabi of hosting college, Numarik Shafi from Government Degree College for Women, Baramulla, Sohail Ahmad of Govt. Degree College Baramulla got 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
In his speech the worthy principal of the college Prof.(Dr.) Abdul Majid Dar deliberated on the importance of Peace for the Progress and Development and how to cope up conflict by peacefull means. All the staff members and students of the college attended the seminar.
At the end of the programme Dr G G Mohi-Ud-Din Head, Department of Botany deliberated on Importance of Peace for Human resource development and that peace starts from Individual himself. He also proposed vote of thanks to the gathering.
