A government employee on poll duty died while 14 others were injured including CRPF men in two accident in south Kashmir's Anantnag while returning from poll duties on Tuesday.
An official said the accidents occurred at Kokernag’s Zalangam and Sagam areas.
“A vehicle on poll duty turned turtle at Zalangam after the driver lost control over the vehicle while another vehicle met an accident after being pelted with stones at Sagam village, both areas falling in Kokernag area of Anantnag,” said an official adding they were returning from duty.
The injured were taken for treatment to Sub District Hospital Kokernag where from three injured were refferred to District Hospital Anantnag, said another official.
“Three persons were brought to DH Anantnag, out of them a government employee, Hilal Ahmed Khan a native of Pulwama district, who was on poll duty, was dead on arrival. The two CRPF personnel are being treated,” said a medico at DH Anantnag.
