Global Pandemic: ‘Comeback my child’

‘With my eyes full of tears and crying voice, I want you to shed off your greedy desires and selfishness and let you make peace with me’

  • Covid is a foe for human but a friend of nature
  • To live and let live should be the guiding principle of human
  • Humans have altogether forgotten his/her responsibility
  • Man has turned to be an open enemy of nature
  • After destroying nature, man has become his own enemy
  • For all those atrocities human being did to nature, it has lost its patience and endurance
  • Let the man witness the wrath of nature that has outgrown from his own cruel and inhuman nature
  • Let the voice of silent nature reach the ears of human who has been silenced

While we all are making preparations in order to save our lives from getting affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, we must go on deeper level in order to understand the pandemic. Like a coin has two facets, so has this pandemic if we take a keen look and ponder upon it.

Whereas it is a disaster for human beings, keeping him away from social gatherings and all kinds of partying and socializing, at the same time it has proved to be environment friendly too. Yes, Covid is a foe for human but at the same time it has proved to be a friend of the nature. We get to know from the various reports that the ‘Earth is Healing’ that is how it has proved to be the killer of mankind and healer of the Mother Earth.

Man has been given the status of being superior most (Ashraf-ul-Makhluqat) among all creatures created by the Almighty Allah and being this much superior he has enjoyed all rights of his survival at the cost of denying nature’s rights. He has forgotten that he is just a part of the whole creation and being so-called Ashraf-ul-Makhluqat, he has been given a responsibility to uphold the universe and not to disturb it.

‘To live and to let live’ should be the guiding principle of human but instead he has altogether forgotten his/her responsibility and has turned to be an open enemy of nature. While, from the survival to sustenance, man has been dependent on the nature and natural resources, thereby, exploiting the nature and its resources for his selfish needs and resulting in the disruption of the delicate ecological balance that ever existed in the environment. Man has been responsible for this devastation and without ever realizing the importance of the nature; he has become his own enemy.

The ecosystems, species, wild population, diverse varieties and breeds of domesticated plants and animals are shrinking, deteriorating or vanishing. This loss is a direct result of human activities and constitutes a direct threat to human well-being in all regions of the world. Man has destroyed nature at an unprecedented rate, thereby threatening the survival of million species and our own future. But, every silence has a sound. Today, for all those atrocities human being did to nature, that has been the feeder of the ever growing human population since evolution and has sustained human lives, nature has lost its patience and endurance. Today, let the man witness the wrath of nature that has outgrown from his own cruel and inhuman nature of ‘being human’ and let the voice of silent nature reach the ears of human who has been silenced.

Today let the nature speaks:

O’ mankind, O’ human being, from since you have evolved, raised your population to your sustenance and survival, you have forgotten me. You became so selfish, that while living in my shadow, utilizing all the resources that I could provide you, you have successfully settled your house but at the cost of ruining someone else’s shelter.

You set up large industries and that too at my cost. Didn’t anything give you the nature? The air you breathe, the water you drink, the wood to build house with, all the comforts of living for you, and in return what you did? You polluted the air by emitting poisonous gases into it; you poisoned the water resources by releasing all kinds of toxic industrial wastes into it. You didn’t care for the other creatures inhabiting air and water. You choked their lives and brought them to death. You devastated forests and destroyed the natural habitat of the precious wild asset of universe. Oh! In seeking shelter for yourself, you rendered other living creatures homeless. From urbanization to industrialization, you went to extreme limits going on devastating nature and natural resources without thinking for the future generations to come.

Today, to mention few, you face the threatening effects of global warming, climate change, scarcity of water and in near future time will come when your own creations would be responsible for your destruction and then you might realize your actions.

Today, the global pandemic that you are going through and struggling to combat it is nothing but a mere trailer of your actions, a warning to warn you of severe consequences that you might face in future. While you have been locked in your homes, your movement on Earth has slowed down; there I am relaxing; my silenced voice has got a sound. I have got an opportunity to breathe through the calm and fresh air, to flutter my wings and to have a free flight in air, to see my reflection through the crystal clear waters, to hear the mesmerizing songs and sounds of birds which was missing amidst your noise.

Today, let the birds flutter their wings and be ready to have fun in the breeze and let them enjoy in open air. Today, let the animals feel free to wander in the wilds and enjoy their freedom. Today let the animals deep down the waters feel the taste of pure and clear water. Though I am saying this, my voice is still shivering and broken because I can feel your pain too, although you never felt. I feel that you are in trouble. You call me “Mother Nature”, so how can I forget that you have been borne out of me. How can I forget the pain in bearing you? Today you are crying, my child and I can’t see your tears nor can hear your cries. I am in no way your enemy and in seeing you in pain I also feel the same pain.

With my eyes full of tears and crying voice, I want you to shed off your greedy desires and selfishness and let you make peace with me. “Make a comeback”, my child. You can prevent the worst consequences to come to you in near future if you let yourself live in harmony with me. I am once again offering friendship with you to work together in making this universe worth living where each and every one be it humans, animals, birds and plants, all live in harmony with each other. Let us once again adore this universe and make it a heaven to live in for the lives to come. Let us be friends.
