Friendly football match played between civilians, dist admin at Gurez

The district administration Bandipora Saturday organized a friendly football match with the local football club of Gurez as a goodwill gesture.

The friendly match was played between District Administration Eleven and Local club of Gurez at famous Habba Khatoon Stadium.

The match culminated with result 8-2 score, and District Administration Eleven headed by Joint Director planning Imtiyaz Ahmad emerged as the winner after 90 minutes thrilling match.

While interacting with players, Imtiyaz Ahmad expressed gratitude to players for providing the administration an opportunity to mingle with locals. He further added that win or loss does not matter at all, it is a sports spirit that has to be carried along.

There were genuine demands raised regarding the completion of two left out changing rooms. The sports lovers expressed anguish over delay in execution of the languishing project of Habba Khatoon stadium by the sports council Department.

On the occasion, Joint Director planning assured the audience that now the execution of developmental works shall be monitored with fixed timelines and during 20-21, all three incomplete projects should be handed over to locals.

The interaction session after the match proved fruitful for gap analysis study for which JDP headed team is in Gurez currently.
