Dry ports will enhance exports: KCCI

 President, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) Javid Ahmad Tenga while hailing the J&K Government, particularly Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu, Finance Minister for signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Ports World for establishment Multi Model Logistic park and transportation hub in the state through foreign direct investment.
KCC&I said it had been craving and pleading for the need of creating such a facility in the state as it is most essential element of logistics required to enhance the scope for growth of export oriented business in the state.
He said it would give fillip to the export of handicraft, horticulture, agriculture, floriculture or any other allied product worldwide.
“Such a facility could be expected to be the forerunner for huge exports and generator of large scale employment in the state.”
Appreciating the blue print of the specialized facilities provided in the Inland logistic hub, the President said it will enhance the scope of accessibility and acceptability of our exportable products to the worldwide markets.
KCCI President also felicitated the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Finance Minister, Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu saying the move is expected to prove a big leap towards ushering the state in to a progressive economy.
