DDC reviews preparations for Phase I of IPPP

District Development Commissioner Bhawani Rakwal today convened a meeting of district Task Force to discuss modalities for effective implementation of intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (Phase-1st) scheduled to be held on January 28, 2018.
During the meeting, CMO Dr Wajid Ali Najar gave power point presentation and briefed about preparedness for Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization phase 1st round scheduled on January 28, 2018. He said that as many as 531 vaccination booths would be setup in different parts of the district during the campaign to cover 76952 children of 0-5 years for vaccination.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to focus on high risk areas including slums and nomadic populations where chances of polio are on the higher side.
DC deliberated upon various arrangements put in place for the immunization programme including deployment of medical and para-medical staff, training of health workers, transportation arrangement besides awareness programmes. He stressed for adopting concrete and effective measures to achieve 100% target in the district.
CMO Doda, DY CMO, ARTO Doda and officer and officials of health department and other concerned attended the meeting.
