On Day 37 of resumption of routine domestic operations in Jammu and Kashmir, 20 domestic flights with 2,185 passengers on board today arrived at Jammu and Srinagar Airports. Besides, an international evacuation flight carrying 171 passengers has arrived at Srinagar Airport from Sharjah.
A total of 555 passengers aboard 7 regular commercial flights arrived at the Jammu Airport while 13 domestic flights with about 1630 passengers on board landed at Srinagar Airport today.
After arrival, all the passengers were tested for the COVID-19 virus and transported to their destinations at both the airports amid strict observance of all necessary preventive protocols.
The Government has made elaborate arrangements for the arrival, screening, sampling and proper transportation of the passengers to the quarantine centers taking special care of guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prescribed by the Union Ministries of Civil Aviation and Health and Family Welfare.
Awami Moazin condoles demise of Shopian medical practitioner, law student
Srinagar: Editorial staff of Jammu based Urdu weekly Awami Moazin on Tuesday held a meeting to condole the sad demise of medical practitioner Syed Wasiq and a young law student Abrar Riyaz, both residents of Shopian, in a tragic car accident at Galender area of Pampore.
In a press release issued here, Mohmmad Yousuf Bhat, editor Awami Moazin said that Wasiq was an eminent medical practitioner and a noble soul.
He termed the death of Wasiq as a great loss to society. Bhat said that Abrar was a bright law student who occasionally contributed articles to many local publications. The staff extended its heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed souls.
