Veteran hotelier and travel agent Khazir Mohammad Dar has hailed tourism department for conducting series of road shows outside the state for the promotion of J&K’s tourism products.
In a statement, Dar who is former Chairman Kashmir Hotels and Restaurant Association and former Chapter Chairman of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) said J&K especially Kashmir needs vigorous promotion outside the state to woo tourists to the State.
Khazir Mohammad Dar also attended the recently held seminar at Mumbai on part of Maharastra Tour Operators Association of which he is a member.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was the chief guest on the occasion who made fervent appeal to the bollywood to shoot in Kashmir.
“This is the need of the hour to attract more tourists and organize more seminars. Chief Minister should herself be present at many travel trade shows and seminar to convince tourists to visit Kashmir. Due to low tourist footfall this time, travel industry is in low mood as it has affected livelihood of many people,” he said.
