COVID-19:7 deaths take JK toll to 1132

With 1141 new cases, JK’s infection count surpasses 72,000 mark

 Seven more COVID-19 positive persons died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1132 while Sunday reported 1141 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 72,190, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include four from Kashmir division and three from Jammu division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1132 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 823 from Kashmir and 309 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 287 deaths, Baramulla 122, Budgam 81, Pulwama 67, Kupwara 66, Anantnag 62, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 36, Shopian 31, and Ganderbal 28.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 167 deaths, Rajouri 30, Doda 26, Kathua 21, Samba 19, Udhampur 14, Poonch 12, Ramban eight, Kishtwar seven, and Reasi five.
On Sunday, J&K reported 1141 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 689 from Jammu and 452 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 72,190.
The government said of the total 15,63,309 test results available, 14,91,119 returned negative and 72,190 positive which include 18,199 active positive cases while 52,895 have recovered and been discharged including 1365 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,68,416 persons had been put under observation including 15,230 in home quarantine and 18,199 in isolation while 51,081 people are under home surveillance and 4,82,774 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 14,385 cases, Budgam 4764, Baramulla 4249, Pulwama 3852, Kupwara 3495, Anantnag 3474, Bandipora 3352, Ganderbal 2831,
Kulgam 2252, and Shopian 2013.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 12,012 cases, Rajouri 2513, Doda 2148, Udhampur 2125, Kathua 1985, Poonch 1716, Samba 1665, Ramban 1294, Kishtwar 1149, and Reasi 916.
