COVID-19:6 more die, JK toll 1372

With 610 fresh cases, infection tally 87,364

Six more COVID-19 positive persons died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1372 while Saturday reported 610 fresh cases, taking the total number of cases to 87,364, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include four from Jammu division and two from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1372 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 918 from Kashmir and 454 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 328 deaths, Baramulla 135, Budgam 90, Pulwama 76, Kupwara 71, Anantnag 70, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 42, Shopian 33, and Ganderbal 30.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 236 deaths, Rajouri 45, Doda 41, Kathua 29, Udhampur 25, Samba 24, Poonch 22, Kishtwar 14, Ramban 11 and Reasi seven.
On Saturday, J&K reported 610 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 363 from Kashmir division and 247 from Jammu division, pushing the total infection tally to 87,364.
The government said of the total 19,78,626 available test results, 18,91,262 returned negative and 87,364 positive, which include 8704 active positive cases while 77,288 have recovered and been discharged including the 809 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 62,60,61 persons had been put under observation including 25,203 in home quarantine and 8704 in isolation while 50,263 people are under home surveillance and 54,05,19 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 17,530 cases, Budgam 5614, Baramulla 5163, Pulwama 4398, Kupwara 4044, Anantnag 3924, Bandipora 3831, Ganderbal 3301, Kulgam 2388, and Shopian 2118.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 15,987 cases, Rajouri 3111, Udhampur 2561, Doda 2490, Kathua 2326, Poonch 2125, Samba 2061, Kishtwar 1698, Ramban 1504, and Reasi 1190.
