With 1467 fresh cases, infection count 59,711
Nineteen more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 951 while Thursday witnessed 1467 fresh cases taking the total infection count to 59,711, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 14 from Jammu division and five from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 951 in Jammu Kashmir, which includes 752 from Kashmir and 199 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 260 deaths, Baramulla 114, Budgam 74, Pulwama 62, Kupwara 60, Anantnag 54, Kulgam 42, Shopian and Bandipora 30 each, and Ganderbal 26.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 117 deaths, Rajouri 19, Doda 15, Kathua 13, Samba 10, Udhampur eight, Poonch six, four each from Ramban and Reasi, and Kishtwar three.
On Thursday, J&K reported 1467 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 785 from Jammu division and 682 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 59,711.
The government said of the total 13,20,240 test results available, 12,60,529 returned negative and 59,711 positive which include 20,239 active positive cases while 38,521 have recovered and been discharged including the 712 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,35,846 persons had been put under observation including 30,027 in home quarantine and 20,239 in isolation while 65,260 people are under home surveillance and 4,19,369 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 12,400 cases, Budgam 4155, Baramulla 3662, Pulwama 3372, Anantnag 3091, Kupwara 3027, Bandipora 3018, Ganderbal 2366, Kulgam 2135, and Shopian 1902.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 9429 cases, Udhampur 1685, Rajouri 1861, Kathua 1577, Doda 1264, Samba 1243, Poonch 1162, Ramban 922, Poonch 1162, Kishtwar 757, and Reasi 683.
