COVID-19:19 more die, JK toll 914

With 1329 fresh cases, infection tally reaches 56,654

Nineteen more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 914 while Tuesday witnessed 1329 fresh cases taking the total infection count to 56,654, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 14 from Jammu division and five from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 914 in Jammu Kashmir, which includes 740 from Kashmir and 174 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 255 deaths, Baramulla 114, Budgam 73, Pulwama 62, Kupwara 58, Anantnag 54, Kulgam 40, Shopian and Bandipora 29 each, and Ganderbal 26.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 99 deaths, followed by Rajouri 18, Doda 15, Kathua 13, Samba eight, six each from Poonch and Udhampur, and three each from Ramban, Reasi and Kishtwar.
On Tuesday, J&K reported 1329 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 741 from Jammu division and 588 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 56,654.
The government said of the total 12,70,310 test results available, 12,13,656 returned negative and 56,654 positive which include 18,678 active positive cases while 37,062 have recovered and been discharged including the 681 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,27,802 persons had been put under observation including 34,530 in home quarantine and 18,678 in isolation while 60,298 people are under home surveillance and 4,13,382 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 11,942 cases, Budgam 3947, Baramulla 3517, Pulwama 3274, Anantnag 2976, Kupwara 2906, Bandipora 2921, Ganderbal 2205,
Kulgam 2108, and Shopian 1892.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 8998 cases, Rajouri 1626, Udhampur 1559, Kathua 1422, Samba 1135, Doda 1053, Poonch 995, Ramban 865, Kishtwar 681, and Reasi 632.
