COVID-19:15 more die, JK toll 966

With 1330 fresh cases, infection count reaches 61,041

Fifteen more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 966 while Friday witnessed 1330 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 61,041, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 10 from Jammu division and five from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 966 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 757 from Kashmir and 209 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 261 deaths, Baramulla 114, Budgam 75, Pulwama 63, Kupwara 60, Anantnag 54, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 31, Shopian 30, and Ganderbal 26.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 120 deaths, Rajouri 20, Doda 17, Kathua 14, Samba 10, Udhampur nine, Poonch seven, Ramban five, Reasi four, and Kishtwar three.
On Friday, J&K reported 1330 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 672 from Jammu division and 658 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 61,041.
The government said of the total 13,45,750 test results available, 12,84,709 returned negative and 61,041 positive which include 20,770 active positive cases while 39,305 have recovered and been discharged including 784 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,38,621 persons had been put under observation including 28,841 in home quarantine and 20,770 in isolation while 65,546 people are under home surveillance and 4,22,498 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 12,637 cases, Budgam 4217, Baramulla 3726, Pulwama 3413, Anantnag 3151, Bandipora 3083,
Kupwara 3079, Ganderbal 2410,
Kulgam 2154, and Shopian 1916.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 9650 cases, Rajouri 1923, Udhampur 1716, Kathua 1619, Doda 1350, Samba 1296, Poonch 1239, Ramban 969, Kishtwar 792, and Reasi 703.
