COVID-19: 7 more die, JK toll 1379

Seven more COVID-19 positive persons died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1379 while Sunday reported 578 fresh cases, taking the total number of cases to 87,942, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include four from Kashmir division and three from Jammu division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1379 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 922 from Kashmir and 457 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 332 deaths, Baramulla 135, Budgam 90, Pulwama 76, Kupwara 71, Anantnag 70, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 42, Shopian 33, and Ganderbal 30.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 237 deaths, Rajouri 45, Doda 42, Kathua 30, Udhampur 25, Samba 24, Poonch 22, Kishtwar 14, Ramban 11 and Reasi seven.
On Sunday, J&K reported 578 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 385 from Kashmir division and 193 from Jammu division, pushing the total infection tally to 87,942.
The government said of the total 20,04,113 available test results, 19,16,171 returned negative and 87,942 positive which include 8677 active positive cases while 77,886 have recovered and been discharged including the 288 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 62,77,50 persons had been put under observation including 21,218 in home quarantine and 8677 in isolation while 52,490 people are under home surveillance and 54,39,86 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 17,697 cases, Budgam 5647, Baramulla 5215, Pulwama 4414, Kupwara 4076, Anantnag 3973, Bandipora 3846, Ganderbal 3315, Kulgam 2395, and Shopian 2118.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 16,106 cases, Rajouri 3120, Udhampur 2561, Doda 2502, Kathua 2328, Poonch 2139, Samba 2067, Kishtwar 1720, Ramban 1510, and Reasi 1193.
