COVID-19: 20 more die, JK toll rises to 1062

With 1249 fresh cases, JK’s infection count rises to 67,510

 Twenty more COVID-19 positive persons died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1062 while Wednesday witnessed 1249 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 67,510, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 16 from Kashmir division and four from Jammu division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1062 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 793 from Kashmir and 269 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 272 deaths, Baramulla 118, Budgam 80, Pulwama and Kupwara 64 each, Anantnag 62, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 34, Shopian 30, and Ganderbal 26.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 146 deaths, Rajouri 28, Doda 24, Kathua 17, Samba 16, Udhampur 10, Poonch nine, Ramban eight, six from Kishtwar and five from Reasi.
On Wednesday, J&K reported 1249 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 646 from Jammu and 603 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 67,510.
The government said of the total 14,64,565 test results available, 13,97,055 returned negative and 67,510 positive which include 19,918 active positive cases while 46,530 have recovered and been discharged including 2796 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,55,010 persons had been put under observation including 14,891 in home quarantine and 19,918 in isolation while 59,397 persons are under home surveillance and 4,59,742 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 13,608 cases, Budgam 4545, Baramulla 4033, Pulwama 3675, Anantnag 3316, Kupwara 3304, Bandipora 3254, Ganderbal 2711,
Kulgam 2213, and Shopian 1963.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 10,905 cases, Rajouri 2308, Udhampur 1939, Doda 1904,
Kathua 1818, Samba 1539, Poonch 1511, Ramban 1171, Kishtwar 958, and Reasi 795.
