COVID-19: 10 more succumb, JK toll 459

JK reports 463 fresh cases, tally crosses 24,000 mark

 Ten more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours in Kashmir taking the death toll in J&K to 459 while 463 new cases were reported on Saturday, officials said.
As per the government, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Pulwama reported two deaths each while Kupwara and Budgam reported one casualty each.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to coronavirus has soared to 459 in J&K, which includes 425 from Kashmir and 34 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 149 deaths, Baramulla 79, Budgam 34, Anantnag 32, Kulgam and Pulwama 29 each, Kupwara 25, Shopian 24, Bandipora 17, and Ganderbal seven.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 23 deaths, Rajouri three, Doda and Udhampur two each, and Ramban, Kathua, Samba and Poonch one each.
J&K reported 463 fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday, which include 382 from Kashmir and 81 from Jammu, pushing the total infection tally to 24,390.
Today’s cases include 178 from Srinagar, 61 from Budgam, Jammu 40, Pulwama 38, Ganderbal 24, Anantnag 23, Kupwara 21, Baramulla 20, Kathua 15, Poonch 12, Samba seven, Shopian six, and Kishtwar four.
The government said of the total 7,06,780 test results available, 6,82,390 returned negative and 24,390 positive which include 7264 active positive cases while 16,667 have recovered and been discharged including 449 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 3,88,741 persons have been put under observation including 42,012 in home quarantine and 7264 in isolation while 47,304 people are under home surveillance and 2,91,702 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 6000 cases followed by Baramulla with 2093, Pulwama 1807, Kulgam 1594, Budgam 1523, Anantnag 1521, Shopian 1514, Kupwara 1230, Bandipora 972, and Ganderbal 654.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 1513 cases, Rajouri 756, Udhampur 619, Kathua 589, Ramban 576, Samba 485, Doda 302, Poonch 265, Reasi 214, and Kishtwar 163.
