• Sgr records minus 2.8 degree C, Drass freezes at minus 30.1 degree C
• Traffic to ply from Jmu to Sgr today
• Met predicts very light snowfall, rains

 As cold wave continues in Kashmir, the Metrological department, Kashmir, forecasted another spell of light snowfall from Monday onward.
As per the weather department officials they are expecting another spell of low intensity snowfall from Monday evening till January 22.
The weather official said the plains in the Valley would receive very light snowfall and rains while the higher reaches are expected to receive moderate snowfall till Wednesday, the official said.
“The main activity of the light snowfall and rains will be on Tuesday while from Wednesday there will be significant improvement in weather,” the official said.
However, light snowfall is also predicted in the hilly areas of Jammu and Ladakh regions, he said.
Meanwhile, the weathermen also said from the past 3 to 4 days there had been slight decrease in night temperatures across the Valley.
Srinagar recorded the minimum temperate of minus 2.8 degree Celsius and maximum of 7.4 degree Celsius.
Jammu recorded the minimum of 5.4 degree Celsius against the maximum of 19.3 degree Celsius, the weather official said.
The ski resort of Gulmarg recorded the minimum temperate of 13.4 degree Celsius, while Pahalgam settled at the minimum of 13.7 degree Celsius.
North Kashmir’s Kupwara district recorded the minimum temperate of minus 5.9 degree Celsius while Qazigund town in south Kashmir witnessed minimum temperature of minus 5.1 degree Celsius.
Kokernag town registered minimum of minus 5.7 degree Celsius while Leh town in Ladakh recorded the minimum temperate of minus 16.3 degree Celsius and Drass settled at minus 30.1 degree Celsius, the official said.
Meanwhile, the Traffic department officials said there would be a one-way traffic on the highway from Jammu to Srinagar on Monday.
No vehicle will be permitted to ply from the opposite direction, the official said.
Light Motor Vehicle owners have been asked to cross the Nagrota junction before 10 am following which Heavy Motor Vehicles would be allowed to ply on the highway.
Meanwhile, Srinagar-Leh highway, Anantnag-Kishtwar road and Mughal Road continued to remain closed for vehicular traffic due to accumulation of several feet of snow and slippery road conditions.
