Kashmir will soon receive first of its kind critical care medical emergency service.
Kashmir Life Line (KLL) which will be launched by Borderless World Foundation (BWF) and Centre for Research and Development Policy (CRDP) in collaboration with the Department of Health Services Kashmir.
The NGO and development Policy group will be providing fully equipped cardiac and trauma care ambulances to the health department.
The department of health will manage and run the ambulances service.
Initially four ambulances will be donated by the two organizations to the department.
Under MOU it has been decided that the four ambulances will be located in Sangrama Baramullah, Qazigund Anatnag, Sanatnagar and Dargah in Srinagar districts.
The organizations are planning to launch 15 ambulances in the valley by the end of 2015. Right now, Kashmir has only two fully equipped ambulances, one is with the governor and the other Chief Minister and it is now first time that a common man can avail such services 24x7.
