Budgam achieves 124% District Credit Plan target

DC Budgam chairs 66th, 67th DLRC, DCC meeting 

Banks have disbursed Rs 1261.03 crores during the financial year 2018-2019 posting 124% of advances in Annual credit plan of the district and achieving 85.21 % in CD ratio – the best in the State of J&K.
This was revealed during 66th / 67th District Level Review Committee Meeting of District Budgam at Conference Hall DC Office Budgam. The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Budgam Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar.
Chief Planning Officer Rafiq Ahmad, representatives from Cluster Office J& K Bank Budgam, Director RSETI, Budgam Tahira Parveen and DDM Nabard Junaid Hakeem attended the meeting.
While welcoming all the heads of line departments, Block Development officers, District Coordinators of various Banks of the District, Lead District Manager Budgam Aijaz Ahmad presented the performance of all other banks and line departments of the district for financial year 2018-19.
The highlight of the meeting was that the district Budgam is the only district in J&K state that has not only the achieved but surpassed the set targets under Annual Credit Plan 2018-19.
He appreciated all the banks and sponsoring agencies for the same.
Lead District Manager revealed that the deposits of the district stands at 2716.28 crores as against the Rs 2213.77 crores of corresponding March quarter of 2018, thus recording a growth of 22.70% YoY.
The advances of the district stands at 2314.67 cr as against the advances of Rs.1824.92 crores of corresponding March quarter of 2018.Thus recording the growth of 26.84 % in advances yoy.
Lead District Manager also informed the house that the banks , Rural self Employment training institute (RSETI) and financial literacy council under the adieu of lead district office Budgam have conducted 441 awareness camps for the financial year 2018-19.
The chairperson DLRC /DCC Dr. syed sehrish Asgar (IAS) congratulated the banks and the line departments for achieving 106% of target in priority sector for the district Budgam .She directed the departments to work for inclusive growth in all schemes. The line departments have to be more proactive and understand importance of BLBCS and she directed them to cooperate in making the BLBC’S a success so that all the benefits be passed on to the grass root level of the needy for overall economic development of the district . Besides she directed Chief Animal Husbandry Officer to sponsor poultry scheme cases on a major scale as the district has vast potential in the same .
Lead District Manager Budgam assured the chairperson Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar(I.A.S) that every sphere and segment of population and business activity will be taken care of with a better systematic and prompt approach.
Chairperson DLRC/DCC District Commissioner Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar appreciated the role of Lead District Manager and his team for being proactive and also applauded the Jammu & Kashmir Bank for contributing 131% of advances in priority sector for financial year 2018-19.
The meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by Lead District Manager , Mr.Aijaz Ahmad who thanked all the participants and the chairperson DLRC/DCC Dr.Syed Sehrish Asgar for successful deliberations in the meeting. He thanked the chairperson for setting up a new road map for integrating our efforts to reach to a collective growth and due to which our district could achieve the stupendous results for the year 2018-19.
