BJP’s J&K President Ravinder Rania Monday tested positive for coronavirus, causing ripples among the party cadres.
Raina who was feeling unwell for the past couple of days tested COVID-19 positive after his swab sample turned out to be infected.
Raina’s nasopharyngeal sample was collected earlier and it returned positive on Tuesday.
Raina in his tweet said, “I was staying in Bandipora Kashmir for five days where our party leaders including Wasim Bari, his father and younger brother Umar Sultan were killed by militants; I felt some mild fever today and my swab sample turned out to be COVID-19 positive.”
Notably Raina along with BJP senior leaders including Ram Madhav, MoS in PMO Jitender Singh, BJP’s Vice President Avinash Rai Khanna visited Bandipora a few days back to pay homage to Bari and his family members who were killed on July 8 outside his residence.
Raina, during his visit to Kashmir, conducted several party meetings and was in contact with hundreds of party cadres.
