Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Kashmir Unit on Tuesday distributed food and essential items among migrant labourers in Srinagar, Bandipora & Anantnag districts of Kashmir division.
Acting upon the directions from J&K BJP UT president Ravinder Raina & General Secretary Ashok Kaul, BJP’s Kashmir Unit distributed essential food items among the people hit by lockdown across the twin districts of Srinagar and Anantnag, BJP statement said.
BJP said that in Anantnag, BJP, UT Vice President Sofi Yousuf distributed essential food items including 10 kg rice, one kg oil and pulses among 100 families.
While in Srinagar, Kashmir Media In-charge Manzoor Bhat distributed the essential food items among scores of families in Karan Nagar, Dalgate, Shivpora areas of Srinagar, BJP said.
“The items that were distributed included flour, rice, pulses, spices, tea, edible oil, & biscuits,” Bhat said, adding, “BJP would continue to serve the needy and the poor to the best of its ability.”
Bhat added that from past several days, BJP has distributed food items among hundreds of needy and poor families in Kashmir division.
