Baramulla College beat AAAM College Bemina

In the ongoing inter-college cricket rolling trophy being played at Islamia College Srinagar, GDC Baramulla defeated AAAM College Bemina by 30 runs to enter the second stage of the tournament.
After the introduction of all the players and officials of the contesting teams with the college Principal Prof. Shiekh Aijaz Bashir, Bemina invited Baramulla to bat first. Baramulla batsmen scored 151 runs for the loss of 4 wickets with the help of quick fire 50 runs by Momin Lone of 33 balls and 34 runs by Zubair.
For Bemina College Umar Rashid took 3 wickets in 4 overs conceding just 13 runs. Chasing a total of 152 runs, Bemina openers started well with a 60 plus opening wicket partnership but lost the way with some good fielding and catching by Baramulla team. The team was bowled out for 121 runs in 15.4 overs and fell short of 30 runs.
Syed Jami Rafiq was top scorer with 33 runs for Bemina. Highlight of Baramulla bowling was 6 wicket haul by Mehraj Manzoor who was declared man of the match.

The cricket tournament which is sponsord by J&K Higher Education Department is being organised by Department of Physical Education of Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar. On Thursday the 20th Feb. GDC Ganderbal will play againest Govt. Degree College Pattan in the next encounter.
