Army thrash school bus driver in Anantnag, student injured

A school bus drive was injured after army thrashed him following an argument between army and the driver.

The bus driver belongs to Shemford Futuristic School, Wanpoh Harnag in district Anantnag.

A student was also injured after shredded glass hit him due to aerial firing by the army.

Rising Kashmir has learnt that the students of Shemford Futuristic School were protesting against the thrashing of few students by the army men who were on a patrol in the area.

Shemford Futuristic School is situated few metres away from Sector 1 RR, Army's largest camp in distirct Anantnag.  

However, police couldn't immediately verify the cause of the protests.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the school have parked the school buses in middle of Jammu-Srinagar highway as a mark of protest.

Massive protests by the students were going on when this report was filed.
