Agencies killed Hurriyat (G) leader to revive Ikhwan Raj, says Geelani

 Senior separatist leader and Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday blamed “Indian agencies” for the killing of Hurriyat leader Mohammad Yousuf Nadeem.
Nadeem, according to Hurriyat (G), was member of the Executive Council of the amalgam and secretary general of its key constituent Tehreek-e-Wahdat e Islami.
“His killing is a conspiracy of Indian agencies with a sole aim to revive the infamous Ikhwan Raj in the state,” a Hurriyat (G) spokesman said quoting Geelani.
Geelani chaired the emergency meeting of his amalgam at party headquarters Hyderpora where rich tributes were paid to the slain Hurriyat (G) member.
During the condolence meeting, Geelani termed the killing of Nadeem as his personal loss.
“He was a great thinker and committed pro-freedom activist. He was killed in a cold blood. It is a personal loss to me. He was among the thinkers of Hurriyat. His killing has created a vacuum which can’t be filled,” Geelani said.
Meanwhile, in a press statement issued here, the Hurriyat Conference (G) has called a condolence meeting of its constituent parties and other “resistance groups” on February 15, Thursday at 11 am at the residence of slain leader at Sanzipora Budgam.

The statement further reads that Geelani expressed shock over his death by “brute hands” and said his untimely demise has created a void.
Geelani said Nadeem was a legend par excellence. “We stand with the grieved family and we express our deep and heartfelt condolences and pray for his heavenly abode," said Geelani.
A Hurriyat (G) delegation comprising its general secretary Ghulam Nabi Sumji, Nisar Hussain Rather, Patron Tehreek-e-Wahdat -e-Islam, Gulshan Abbas, Advocate Muhammad Shafi Rishi, Mohammad Shafi Lone, Syed Mohammad Shafi, Ghulam Mohammad Nagu, Mohammad Yasin Ataie, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar Mohammad Yusuf Mujahid, Syed Imtiaz Haider, Peer Abdul Rashid, Bashir Ahmad Bhat ,Mohammad Maqbool visited the bereaved family of Nadeem and expressed their sympathies with them.
The Hurriyat leaders pledged during the condolence meeting that despite “these killings by agencies, resistance movement won’t stop and will move ahead with its cherished mission, till they achieve their goal”.
