17 more die, JK toll rises to 1198

Total infection count rises to 76,163

Seventeen more COVID-19 patients have died in the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1198 while Thursday reported 1093 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 76,163, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 13 from Jammu division and four from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1198 in Jammu and Kashmir, which include 843 from Kashmir and 355 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 292 deaths, Baramulla 124, Budgam 84, Pulwama 69, Kupwara 67, Anantnag 66, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 37, Shopian 32, and Ganderbal 29.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 192 deaths, Rajouri 32, Doda 31, Kathua 22, Samba 21, Udhampur 18, Poonch 16, Ramban 10, Kishtwar seven and Reasi six.
On Thursday, J&K reported 1093 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 692 from Jammu and 401 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 76,163.
The government said of the total 16,43,722 test results available, 15,67,559 returned negative and 75,070 positive which include 16,413 active positive cases while 58,552 have recovered and been discharged including 1680 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,79,313 persons had been put under observation including 15,446 in home quarantine and 16,413 in isolation while 50,787 people are under home surveillance and 4,95,469 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 15,046 cases, Budgam 4925, Baramulla 4427, Pulwama 3967, Anantnag 3535, Bandipora 3434, Kupwara 3640, Ganderbal 2918,
Kulgam 2279, and Shopian 2029.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 13,505 cases, Rajouri 2692, Udhampur 2273, Kathua 2079, Doda 2233, Samba 1782, Poonch 1788, Ramban 1357, Kishtwar 1290, and Reasi 964.
