Srinagar, 25 Nov: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) on Friday reviewed arrangements for the forthcoming 117th birth anniversary of its founder Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah.
Party functionaries led by Srinagar district president Peer Afaq Ahmed reviewed the underway arrangements for the anniversary observance day.
“The major gathering for Fatiha and Quran khawani shall be held at Qaid Mazar at Naseem Bagh,” a statement of the party said.
Among others Women’s wing State president Shameema Firdous, Central Secretary Irfan Ahmed Shah were also present in the meeting.
“Party president Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah will lead the party in offering tributes to the great leader,” it added.
“Besides, tributes shall be paid to Sher-e-Kashmir (Sheikh Abdullah) at the headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, provincial Headquarters Jammu Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan and district headquarters of the party throughout the length and breadth of J&K, Ladakh,” the party statement added.
