Mehbooba Mufti, three former legislators served eviction notices

Srinagar, Nov 27: The authorities Sunday asked former chief minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti besides three other former legislators to vacate the government quarters in Anantnag district within 24 hours failing which action would be taken against them.
 
Mehbooba Mufti was served an eviction notice for her 'Fairview' residence at the high security Gupkar area of the city here last month as well.
 
Sunday’s eviction notice was issued by the Executive Magistrate to Mehbooba Mufti and three other former legislators for the government quarters located in Housing Colony at Khanabal in the south Kashmir district. The notice has been served on the directions of deputy commissioner Anantnag.
 
As per the order the occupants of government quarter number 1, 4, 6 and 7, which belong to ex-MLAs Mohammad Altaf Wani, Abdul Rahim Rather, Abdul Majeed Bhat and former CM Mehbooba Mufti respectively have been asked to vacate within 24 hours.
 
The government quarters are located at the Housing Colony Khanabal and the occupants have been warned of action under law if they fail to vacate the premises within the stipulated time.
