LG, Advisor extend best wishes to JK cricketer Umran Malik

Srinagar, Nov 10: After being selected to India A team for upcoming tour to South Africa, Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha, his Advisor , Farooq Khan and Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul have congratulated and extended best wishes to J&K pace sensation Umran Malik for his cricketing journey ahead.
While congratulating  JK pace sensation Umran Malik, Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha extended his best wishes for joining India ‘A’ squad leaving for the South Africa tour and a successful cricketing journey ahead.
 Taking to micro blogging site twitter, Manoj Sinha wrote "Many congratulations to pacer Umran Malik for joining India 'A' squad, leaving for South Africa tour. It is his hard work and sheer devotion to the game and I am sure this is a beginning of a marvelous journey for Umran. Best wishes to him for successful cricketing career. " (sic).
 Whereas Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan also complimented the Umran for getting selected in India A team for South Africa tour.
 “The India ‘A’ call will be a huge boost for the speedster who had impressed everyone with his speed in his maiden IPL outing with Sunrisers Hyderabad.  Many more in J&K are waiting in the wings to join the national team,’’ he said.  
 Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul termed the selection of Umran Malik in ‘India A team’ a great day for J&K Sports, she also complimented the Cricket coach of J&K Sports Council Randhir Singh Manhas for his role in making of star.
 Umran Malik, a trainee of Sports Council Cricket Academy was recently part of IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad and JKCA Senior team for Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.
 
“Sports Council Family wishes Umran Malik all the best for the tour.  May the young man rise and shine,” said the sports council officials.
 Earlier on Tuesday, Rookie Pacer Umran was named in the India A squad, to be led by Gujarat top-order batter Priyank Panchal, for the South Africa tour Scheduled to begin from November 23.
 BCCI's senior selection committee picked a 14-member squad for the tour which will be playing three four-day matches.
 21-year-old Malik, a right-arm pacer, has played just one List A and eight T20 matches so far in his budding career. He has not played any red-ball game. He recently played the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021-2022 as part of the J & K team.
 The player from Jammu got everyone excited with his raw pace during IPL in UAE last month.
 He had clocked 152.95 kph - the fastest of the tournament -- during Sunrisers Hyderabad's game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, leaving RCB captainVirat Kohli impressed.
