Srinagar, Oct 01: To raise the awareness about Social Justice Day among students, Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a seminar on "Social Justice in India - Vision & Reality. Advocate Mayank Arora, Supreme Court of India and Prof. Dr. J.S. Bhatia, Ex Assistant Commandant, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India were the keynote speakers. Dr.AnshuKataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, presided over.
Arora while interacting with LLB & BA- LLB students said that Social justice is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities. Every human being is born free but many are deprived of rights due to many reasons. It is important to have social justice if we want inclusive growth and sustainable development, asserted Arora .
Bhatia stated that People from all around the country make lots of efforts to make sure that people from various parts of India are aware of a lot of things that they weren't aware of before. Social awareness is very important for people in any country because social awareness leads to the actual development of a country. If you are not aware of a lot of things that are trending today how will you survive in this cruel world? For example, if you are not aware of the correct use of mobile phone, you will only use it for calling, but it can be used for various other ways as well, he highlighted.
The students participated enthusiastically in various activities including debate, Poster Presentation, Quiz competition. Prof. B.S. Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group; Dr. Anurag Dhiman, Ms. Navneet Kaur, HOD; Dr.Pritika, Ms Jaskiran, Ms Priyanka Bansal, Ms Sanskriti Rana, Ms Divya, Mr Jaspreet, Ms Manpreet, Mr Jagtar, Ms Neelu, faculty Aryans College of Law were also present.
