The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), in collaboration with Industries & Commerce Department and District Administration Udhampur, hosted an Export Awareness Workshop and E-commerce Onboarding event to boost and streamline exports in the District .

Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai inaugurated the workshop, emphasizing the advantages of E-commerce, export opportunities, and the importance of quality products with proper packaging.

Over 100 local stakeholders, including farmers, orchardists, artisans, retailers, and officials from different sectors participated in the event.

The speakers from government bodies like DGFT, MSME, MYSTORE, and ONDC provided valuable insights, covering topics such as export benefits, obtaining Import/Export codes, international market entry for local products, and credit facilities and insurance for exports.

Key sessions included guidance on Mystore platform onboarding by Banu Jamwal from Mystore, information on international business registration and trade activities by Anju DGFT, and insights into DGFT's role in global commerce by A.K Bhushan.

Anil Chowdhary from SBI highlighted the financial assistance and support available for exports and entrepreneurs.

The event, part of the District as Export Hub Scheme/ODOP initiative, featured keynote addresses, stakeholder discussions, and networking opportunities, providing attendees with resources to kickstart or enhance their export endeavors.

JKTPO commits to conducting more export awareness workshops and e-commerce onboarding drives across Jammu & Kashmir to empower local entrepreneurs, connect them with a digital marketplace, and facilitate nationwide product showcasing and sales.
