Ganderbal: In a significant technological milestone, Jammu and Kashmir has achieved the distinction of becoming the first Union Territory in India to achieve complete digitalization. Chief Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta announced this groundbreaking achievement during a gathering where Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor inaugurated several transformative projects.
Addressing the gathering at Ganderbal Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta highlighted the importance of this digital transformation.
He stated that the entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been seamlessly integrated into a digital ecosystem aimed at eradicating bureaucracy and improving the lives of its residents. Through a dedicated mobile application, people will have easier access to essential services, paving the way for efficient governance.
This monumental step towards digitalization is expected to streamline administrative processes, reduce red tape, and provide quicker solutions to citizens' problems. As Jammu and Kashmir embraces the digital era, it aspires to set an example for other regions in India, demonstrating the immense potential of technology in enhancing governance and improving the quality of life for its residents.
He urged the general public to share their suggestions or complaints about any instances of corruption they might have encountered. Dr. Mehta assured them that reporting corruption would not result in any consequences, as the law would impartially follow its course.
