J&K bags 2 gold, 3 silver, 8 bronze medals

 Jammu, Dec 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Kick Boxing Junior and Cadet team have bagged two gold, three silver, and eight bronze medals in various events in WAKO India Cadets & Juniors National Kickboxing Championship 2021 at Pune, Maharashtra. 

 The championship was held from December 21 to December 26, 2021.

 Escorted by Fasil Ali and Irfan Choudhary as the team coach, a team of 31 players from J&K participated in the WAKO India Cadets & Juniors National Kickboxing Championship 2021.

 After returning back from Maharashtra, the team was warmly welcomed on Wednesday at Jammu by the Abhishek Jain State General Secretary Kickboxing Association J&K affiliated WAKO India accompanied by Sanjeev Jamwal Kickboxing National Coach Joint Secretary Jammu province. 

 They congratulate medal winners and give their blessings to the participants.

On the occasion, Ajay Verma MD Nice Gem President Jammu district Kickboxing Association applauded the efforts of the association and promised to help as much as possible to promote this popular martial sport in J&K.

 Abhimanou Sharma bagged gold in the -57 weight category Rahul Bagal won gold in the -69 weight category.

 The silver medalists are Rajbir Singh (-54), Mehak Jamwal (+65), Manik Kumar (-45)

 Players who have bagged bronze medals are Danish Sharma bagged the bronze medal in the -69 category,  Nitish Singh (-69), Fiza Farooq (-42), Agriya Sharma (+47), Syed Ali shah (-63), Md. Mohtstashim Wani (-32), Owais Bilal Wani (-32), Rajbir Singh (-54)  weight categories respectively.
