Jharkhand defeats J&K by 5 wickets

Srinagar, Nov 09: Jharkhand defeated Jammu and Kashmir cricket team by five wickets on Tuesday in the Round IV- Elite Group C, of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 (T20) tournament being played at Reliance Stadium Vadodara Gujarat.
After winning the toss Jammu and Kashmir opted to bat first.
While batting first team J&K made a total score of 156 runs while losing its six wickets in respective 20 overs with a run rate of 7.8.
For J&K, Jatin Wadhwan scored 45 runs in 41 balls with a strike rate of 109.76. Wadhwan hit 5 fours in his knock of 45 runs. Qamran Iqbal contributed 37 runs from his bat while facing 30 deliveries, he hit 2 sixes and 2 fours with strike rate of 123.33 whereas Shubham Pundir  scored 26 runs faced 12 balls while hitting one six and three fours, Abdul Samad  made 17 runs in 13 balls and Rasool scored 14 runs faced 11 balls.
For Jharkhand, Utkarsh took 2 wickets giving away 22 runs in his 4 over quota, Kaushal, Nadeem and Bal Krishna took one wicket each.
While chasing the target of 157, team Jharkhand accomplished the target comfortably in 19.2 overs while losing its 5 wickets.
The top scorer with the bat for Jharkhand was Virat Singh who hit two sixes and three fours while facing just 29 balls in his knock of 40 runs with a strike rate of 137.93. Kaushal hit one six and two fours in his knock of 29 runs in 23 balls , Ishank contributed 30 runs faced 29 balls whereas Saurabh Tiwary scored 24 runs in 16 balls, Anukul Roy’s 16 runs in 7 balls came also handy for Jharkhand.
For J&K, Ram Dayal was the leading wicket taker who took 2 wickets while giving away 28 runs in his four over quota. Auqib Nabi, Abid Mushtaq and Parvez Rasool took one wicket each.
