Budgam, Mar 15: The authorities in Budgam district have taken a significant step by introducing a hotline electricity connection for the first time to sub-district hospital Chadoora, which will provide 24×7 uninterrupted power supply from the receiving station to SDH Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official from the district administration in Budgam informed Rising Kashmir that this was a long-awaited demand of people from various villages that depend solely on this hospital. The hotline connection will enable all the machinery in the hospital to function round the clock, thus providing much-needed relief to patients. Moreover, the hospital authorities will no longer need to bear fuel expenses for generator operations.
“The installation of the hotline connection will provide 24×7 electricity to the hospital, eliminating any unscheduled power cuts in the SDH Chadoora’s electricity supply,” said the official. He added that the hotline connection would also be established for Sub District Hospital Beerwah by the end of this month, March.
This initiative will directly benefit patients from around 75 villages that visit SDH Beerwah every day. Previously, both SDH Beerwah and SDH Chadoora were receiving normal electricity supply available to the public in the Chadoora and Beerwah areas. With the introduction of the hotline connection, the hospital will have a dedicated power supply even during rainfall and snowfall, providing improved healthcare services to the general public.
