Srinagar, Mar 30: The second-phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive began at Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) headquarters here in Srinagar on Tuesday.

At the occasion, Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan was the first among the SMC staff who received the second shot of vaccination.

He emphasized that the entire SMC staff including sanitary workers, field workers, ward officers and all other employees will be vaccinated for their safety and the community as well.

 While urging people to continue adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines, Commissioner SMC stressed everyone to wear masks and adhere to physical distancing norms and all Covid19 guidelines so that the vaccination drive is successful to win the battle against the pandemic.

 He urged attendees to reach out to the general public and disseminate authentic information about the vaccination drive to make it smooth and effective at the grass-root level.

 Joint Commissioner (Admin) Syed Abul Qasim, Joint Commissioner (Works) Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shah, S.E Drainage Ahsaan-ul-Haq and other officials also got vaccinated at the occasion.
