Srinagar, March 11: Senior Congress leader Prof. Saifuddin Soz Thursday said that a very large section of people in Jammu and Kashmir have felt sad and angry over the government’s  attempt to persecute Mehbooba Mufti and her colleagues, citing the latest notice of the Enforcement Directorate.

In a statement Soz said, "Since the last resort for the people is the Judiciary, the judicial system in India has itself come under pressure for provision of judicial relief to those who summon-up their courage to criticize the government."

"A large section of Kashmiris felt sad and concerned against the measures of persecution by the Central government against the mainstream political leaders of Kashmir, particularly, the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and her party colleagues like Naeem Akhter,” Soz said. KNS
