Traffic awareness prog held at Handwara

Handwara, Jan 28: Youth Civil Society in collaboration with Handwara Police and Municipal Committee Handwara (MCH) on Thursday organized a traffic awareness really here.

The rally was conducted from New Bus stand Handwara to Main Chowk Handwara in which a large number of people, Students, and others participated.

On this occasion, Station House Officer (SHO) Handwara and Municipal Committee Handwara (MCH) Handwara chairman Masroor Ahmad Banday were also present.

They also gave traffic awareness to the people and drivers and appealed to them not to ply their vehicles without seat belts, don’t ply their vehicles while smoking, and also appealed them to follow the traffic rules strictly.

Masoor Banday speaking on the occasion appealed parents don’t allow underage children to run vehicles and said people should always keep their vehicles on parking slots.

Banday said that some irresponsible people are parking their vehicles on the roadside which is causing huge inconvenience to commuters and are causing huge traffic jams in the town.

Chairman Youth Civil Society spoke on the occasion and appealed to drivers to run their vehicles in speed limit to avoid accidents, he said that most of the accidents are taking place due to over speed.

He also said they will conduct such programs in the future to make the general public aware of traffic rules.
