Srinagar, Nov 10: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Syed AltafAijazAndrabi today chaired a review meeting here at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi, Srinagar, a press statement said.

During the meeting, the Director reviewed the targets approved under various centrally sponsored schemes and also emphasized upon accomplishing the targets in a time bound manner.

Andrabi directed the employees to put in all efforts and professional endeavours for making the agriculture sector glamorous, remunerative and profitable. He stressed for adoption of accountable and transparent mechanism during the course of implementation of various State and Centrally sponsored schemes.

While interacting with the field functionaries, the Director instructed the officials to maintain close contacts with the farmers and educate them about the various technologies available in their areas of interest so that significant benefits of the agriculture activities can be reaped. He also instructed for quantifying the impact of these technologies in the agriculture sector.

The meeting was also attended by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Amir ud din Andrabi, Chief Agriculture Officer Mohammad Younus, District Agriculture Officer Extension Srinagar, District Agriculture Officer Inputs, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer, Srinagar and other officers.
