Srinagar, Nov 08:Srinagar Municipal Corporation sealed four illegal structures in ward 22, KaranNagar here in the city today. The structures had been constructed in Shutrashahi area of the city.

The action was taken after SMC received several complaints from the residents of the area about construction of these structures. Taking cognizance of the complaints and after conducting an on-the-spot visit of these sites, the Commissioner SMC Mr Gazanfar Ali passed on directions to the Enforcement wing of the corporationtotake necessary action and proceed to seal the structures.

The said structures were sealed in presence of the concerned Enforcement Officer, Ward Officer and other officials.

The officials of SMC warned that all structures and buildingsbeing constructed illegally and without following the necessary guidelines and protocols, as well as the structures deviating from the sanctioned building plans will face similar action.

The SMC also requested the public in general to strictly adhere to the approved building permissions and norms, whether of residential or commercial nature and to steer clear of violations and deviations in sanctioned building plans. The public has also been requested to avoid at all costsall kinds of illegal constructions. (KNS)
