Himachal Pradesh beat J&K by 4 runs

Himachal Pradesh beat Jammu and Kashmir cricket team by four runs in a closely contested match in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 (T20) tournament being played at Reliance Stadium Vadodara Gujarat.
After winning the toss Himachal Pradesh opted to bat first.
While batting first team HP made a commendable score of 157 runs while losing its eight wickets in respective 20 overs with a run rate of 7.85.
For HP R R Dhawan scored unbeaten 45 runs in 26 balls with a strike rate of 120.37, Rishi hit three sixes and 4 fours in his knock of 45 runs. Raghav Dhawan contributed 47 runs while facing just 46 deliveries, he hit 4 fours and Akash Vasisht scored 22 runs faced 15 balls while hitting one six and three fours before becoming victim of Parveez Rasool in  the sixth over of first inning.
For J & K, Auqib Nabi took 3 wickets giving away 35 runs in his 4 overs, Rasool took 2 wickets in his four overs while giving away just 11 runs and Abid Mushtaq bowled four overs and picked two wickets while going for 22 runs.
 While chasing the target of 158 team J&K gave tough competition to HP unfortunately they fell short of four runs while losing its 10 wickets in 19.5 overs.
The top scorer with the bat for J&K was Abdul Samad who hit massive five sixes and one four while facing just 32 balls in his knock of 55 runs with a strike rate of 171.88. Auqib Nabi hit 4 sixes and one four in his knock of 29 runs in just 8 balls with strike rate of 362.5 and Abid Mushtaq Scored 16 runs faced 19 deliveries and Vivirant scored 16 from 26 balls.
The hero of the match Rishi Dhawan did miracles with the bowl also by taking  6 wickets for HP while giving just 23 runs, Mayank Dagar bowled four overs took 2 wickets and went for just 20 runs, A Bedi took one wicket though he went for 46 runs in four overs.
 Jammu and Kashmir, placed in Elite Group C, is scheduled to play its next match against Jharkhand on November 9.
