Srinagar, Mar 28: The third edition of Harwan Cricket League is commencing from next month in which 23 teams from Srinagar and Ganderbal districts are participating.
The championship will be played at Syed Shah Qasim memorial Cricket Ground, Chondpora in Harwan.
In this connection, the hiring of players was held here at a local hotel on Sunday in which about 600 players participated through online and offline mode.
On the occasion, the management of HCL said adequate arrangements are being made for the championship. The president HCL Dr Abdul Rasheed said the purpose of holding the event is to give a chance to budding players to exhibit their talent besides hone their skills. He hoped that the new players will one-day represent Kashmir in national-level competitions.
The others speakers, while highlighting the endeavours of HCL, said that keeping youth busy in sports activities will go a long way in keeping them away from the menace of drug addiction.Â
